Freya Daly has just one more hoop to jump through in order to finally gain her father’s trust and get the position in his company she truly deserves. Buying the decrepit campground in Idaho should be a snap if she can just keep her overactive tear ducts from acting up.

Nate Brody would love to sell off his pit of an inheritance and get back to his real life, but his honor—and the promise he made at his father’s deathbed—won’t let him. The fact that he’s attracted to the beautiful Freya only makes him want to sell more. If he can only find whatever it is that his father thought so important to mention with his last breath, maybe Nate can make everyone happy. Or maybe not.

This was an engrossing read. Though the cover looks like it will produce a light romantic plot line, what is between the covers is quite a bit of mystery and suspense. There was much to enjoy about this book, however more conservative readers should be warned that it was rather provocative and full of language. Reading it while sharing a living room with my in-laws is an occasions I’d rather never repeat. People who aren’t bothered by such things will probably find in Wish You Were Here an interesting, engaging novel and may even want to check out its stand-alone semi-prequel Crazy in Love.

Armchair Interviews says: Good read but be aware this is provocative language.
