If you are a fan of the author’s previous Lucy Hatch stories, Marsha Moyer has a treat for you in this charming story of a lovely, yet dysfunctional family.

At the center of a brewing crisis is Denny, a young successful country singer, who has dramatically fled Nashville, Tennessee. She escapes to her family’s home located in a rural community in northeast Texas.
Denny is the daughter of Ash, a once-successful country songwriter and singer who has ghosts and demons of his own with which to wrestle. They have a history that seems, at times, will never be reconciled.

The author reveals Denny, Lucy and Ash’s dialog, with all of their flaws and virtues using the first-person voice. I like this approach to storytelling, because you are personally engaged in the drama, emotions, decisions, questions and choices good or bad each character experiences.

If you’re not yet a fan, you may want to treat yourself to a feel-good story that has plenty of plot twist and turns to keep you up nights turning page after of page. You’ll discover that you are drawn into this very human, volatile, complex and, at times, fragile family drama.

Armchair Interviews says: A highly recommended feel-good story.
