(Third and final in series--originally published in 2002, translated in 2006)

Mystic Konstantin Serebrov turned to fiction to illustrate the inner knowledge he gained in his own search for the Path of Enlightenment and cosmic consciousness using the process of alchemical purification and transmutation. Serebrov studied Eastern religions, especially Hinduism, at a young age.

In this third book of this series, Kasyan and Gouri finally achieve their alchemical initiation and reach Nigredo. Their path has not been easy though and they have gained knowledge and grown considerably since the first book. Their journey brings them into G's school where they finally take to heart the teachings that G has been trying to impart.

As with the first two books, the translation is a little stilted and doesn't flow smoothly. Whether this is a reflection of the author's original style is unknown. This book turned more serious as the two students take their lessons more earnestly and those lessons become more direct. Unfamiliar terms and ideas are footnoted in the back of the book.

Kasyan search is symbolic of the search for meaning familiar to us all.

Armchair Interviews says: This book will appeal to those who are interested in Eastern religions and mystical spirituality.
