The story of Noah and the ark is as timeless as it is popular. God tells Noah to build a boat and put two of every kind of animal on it. Noah obeys and everyone on the boat is saved during a worldwide flood. After the flood, God sends a rainbow as a promise to never cause a flood like that again.

Young book lovers will find a new favorite in this adorable retelling of the biblical story. This chunky board book gives a three dimensional feel with pages of varying size and peek-through windows.

The illustrations are bright, happy, and colorful, just right for toddlers. The retelling is also age appropriate with nary a mention of the worldwide sin that brought the flood nor the wipe out of most of earth’s animal kingdom.

I predict that this will be a family favorite. Parents will enjoy reading this book to their children and non-reading children will enjoy looking through it even without a reader. Even my older children enjoy paging through it.

With its sturdy construction, it should last through even this rough family’s many hands.

Armchair Interviews agrees.
