Moses and the Princess retells the entire story of Moses in a simple child’s format. With colorful illustrations, the child can see the Nile River as the baby Moses is placed into a basket and as Miriam hides to keep watch.

The book goes into the details of when the Princess came and found Moses, how Miriam ran to get her mother, and into some detail as Moses grows, plagues come upon Egypt, and how the Pharoah let the people go, and they crossed over the Red Sea.

Moses and the Princess ends with a happy note. I read this to my three- and six-year-olds and they both enjoyed looking at the pictures and hearing the story. My three-year-old wanted me to read the story over and over.

The story isn’t exactly true to account biblically, there are a lot of liberties taken, but it is semi close, and the story is simple enough for the youngest child to understand. These cute little books would be adorable to find under the Christmas tree, or anytime. Pick up a copy for your favorite preschooler.
