Cousin Claire has come to visit, which is great, until she starts getting into Gail's toys! Gail is losing her temper and ripping her toys away from Cousin Claire until her mother says she has to share. So Gail goes up into the attic and finds a box of old clothes. An ugly hat, a ragged shoe, and clothes with stains. She tells Cousin Gail she'll share that box of rags with her.
Cousin Claire is unhappy and wants to go home, so Mother feeds them lunch. Gail gives Cousin Claire her spinach soup. Cousin Claire is unhappy and pitches a fit. Mother explains to Gail that she must share nice toys and good food. Gail is unhappy about that, but promises to consider it for Cousin Claire's next visit.
Mine! Mine! Mine! is a totally cute children's book for ages 4 to 6 that is sure to gain your child's attention and hold it. Both my two- and four-year-old daughters were spell-bound by the colorful photos and the cute, rhyming story line. My four-year-old wanted the story read over and over and when I tired of it, she went to find an older sibling to read to her.
Mine! Mine! Mine! is sure to be a winner with your favorite child, one they would be delighted to find under the tree on Christmas day, or as a nice gift any for any occasion.
In addition to being a well-written tale, it also teaches the child an important lesson about sharing.
