Little Goose just knows he’s forgotten something important and is determined to remember what it was, even if he has to travel all around the pond (his world) to find out what it was. With his mother’s blessing, he waves goodbye to her and sets off waddling and wiggling. On his journey he meets new friends and asks them if they can help him remember. Can turtle help, or perhaps frog, or maybe mouse can help. Maybe not. Perhaps only Little Goose knows.
Little Goose travels the pond and returns to his mother. In the warm, cozy safety and security of his mother’s wings, he finally remembers what he was missing. It was his mother’s care and love.
Little Goose is a sweet story that children, even young ones, can relate to and enjoy. The book has bigger paragraphs and so it is suited more for children over three. The illustrations are attractive. The little goose is so delightful that you’d like to just pick him up and hold him and stroke his down feathers.
Armchair Interviews says: Little Goose is a book young children will enjoy over and over.
