Mark R. Levin is a popular talk radio host and author of the bestselling Men in Black. Levin’s latest book, Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, is a call to action for conservative Americans.

The United States is experiencing chaos at every level. We have an occupant in the White House who appears to be marching towards Socialism; a Treasury Secretary who is calling for the power to take over any company the government feels is failing; a Congress who no longer represents the people, and in fact is assaulting the Constitution with its illegal, out-of-control-behavior; and a growing population of people who believe they are “entitled” and want the rich to “take care of them.” We seem to have forgotten that it is not man nor government that gives us the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and that while we have those rights–the outcome is not equal for everyone.

Mark R. Levin is the clear, concise and logical voice who is explaining America’s past and incorporating the present into a look at the future. Liberty and Tyranny IS the “way” back to the conservative movement’s beginnings. It’s a plan to return elected officials to office; those officials who will be true to the conservative roots. Levin discusses the past (America’s founders and the doctrines), the free market, the welfare state, immigration, and a conservative manifesto.

The author manages to take a subject that many people find boring and makes it a scintillating read. It should be a must read for all Americans. It may be the most important book you read in 2009.
