Kate White's crime-solving heroine Bailey Weggins returns in this latest book. Weggins, who reports on celebrity crimes for the weekly gossip magazine Buzz, is asked by an old male friend, Chris Wickersham, to look into the disappearance of a fellow actor, Tom Fain, who vanished without a trace one weekend. Chris and he are filming the new TV show Morgue, and if he doesn't show up, the show might not go on. Plus, Chris just might be still interested in Bailey.

Once this celebrity crime reporter sinks her teeth into a case, she's like a bulldog with a bone that won't let go. The trouble is, the deeper she gets into the case, the closer the show Morgue starts to resemble the real thing.

Besides this series, author Kate White is the editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan Magazine and has a New York Times bestseller as well. She has a nice touch with plot and dialogue. The only thing that confused me was exactly who the lethal blond was...the missing Tom, Bailey, Chris? Or the villain who doesn't seem to be blonde? But that's my take--not being familiar with the series.

That aside, this a light, entertaining and enjoyable read with a crime solving character who is becoming very well-known in mystery fiction.

Armchair Interviews says: Fun and light read with a good storyline.
