Josie Prescott continues to find herself in the middle of murders. And her fans are pretty happy about that!
Prescott Antiques and Appraisals in New Hampshire is owned and run by Josie Prescott. Her assistant, Gretchen, is one dependable woman so when she doesn’t return to work following her vacation, Josie becomes worried. She goes to Gretchen’s home to investigate and finds a dead man on her sofa. Josie is sure Gretchen didn’t have anything to do with the man’s death, but others aren’t so sure.
As Josie begins to search for Gretchen, she realizes that she really doesn’t know much about the young woman; where she came from, who are her friends, nothing really.
But a belt buckle, a beautiful antique vase, and sheer determination all help Josie to find Gretchen and solve the murder of the man in the apartment. It gets a bit dicey however as there are others searching for Gretchen and that may not be a good thing.
I thoroughly enjoyed Killer Keepsakes. The characters were fun (love the newspaper reporter), the plot was good (there was only one time when my belief system was suspended for the sake of the story) and the information about antiques was fascinating.
Armchair Interviews says: Killer Keepsakes is a fun, cozy mystery. Read Cleland’s other books: Antiques to Die For, Deadly Appraisal and Consigned to Death.
