Mooch, the cat took a nap one day. Cats are known to enjoy a good snooze. As he slept, a thick fog rolled in and covered everything around Mooch. When he woke up, he didn't know where he was. He thought about what had happened and decided he was in Heaven. As he traveled around town, he experiences the familiar in an unfamiliar way. Mooch makes a new friend and enjoys the day in a way he never had before.

The simple message of Just Like Heaven is what gives it its power and punch: To savor the familiar and enjoy the experience to the fullest. What a powerful message. And the illustrations are delightful in their clean lines and simple presentation. Mooch and his new dog friend, Earl, are as cute as can be.

Armchair Interviews says: This is a story children will love, just because it's fresh and honest.
