Home Cooking magazine has published a complete year of scrumptious recipes in one hardbound book that will knock your socks off. It is called Home Cooking 2005 Recipe Annual.
The recipes were chosen from contest-winning recipes, favorite reader recipes and just plain wonderful concoctions. The book is broken up by month (January/February, March/April, May/June, etc.) Within each of the months are recipes for everyday eating as well as special occasions and holidays.
I don't like to cook! I spent years cooking for a lot of children who preferred things like macaroni and cheese and hot dogs. You get the picture. But in order to survive, I cook. And these recipes are not only easy, but so many are time savers.
My husband absolutely loves Italian food and a new favorite of his is Romano Chicken (page 85). My personal favorite section is the Midwest Farm Cooking. The Pan-Roasted New Potatoes (I love potatoes) are yummy and so easy! The Sweet & Sour Orange Beets sent me back to my childhood and Grandma's house. And the Fried Green Tomatoes are to "die for." What a treat!
My all-time favorite recipes are the Cinnamon Rolls and Peanut Butter Brownie Torte (the most requested recipe). They will really make your mouth water. Now, I could go on and on but then there would be no surprises for the reader/cook to discover.
Armchair Interviews says: Home Cooking 2005 Recipe Annual is a wonderful cookbook for the novice and experienced cook.
