After a snitch is murdered, the undercover narcotics detective who controlled him needs a favor from his ex-girlfriend. Christy Bristol is an office assistant in the sheriff's department but it is her skills with astrology that he needs. It seems his prime suspect, Lloyd Parr, is a believer and he wants to spook the man with a horoscope. Christy reluctantly agrees, despite the fact that her astrology was one of the things that caused them to break up, but she finds she doesn't need to fake anything to scare Parr.

When Parr kidnaps Christy and takes her to the compound where they have their methamphetamine lab, she needs to transform herself from victim to survivor. While her friends and co-workers search for her, Christy uses her astrology skills to turn the tables in her favor.

Christy is a great character. Told almost entirely from her viewpoint, we can't help but feel her fear and cheer her on. She is strong and clever and thinks fast on her feet.

This series can go in a lot of directions and I plan to be there to see what comes next.

Armchair Interviews says: Astrology plays a big role in this story.
