A yearning to find her biological father brought Miranda Carson to England where she discovered a family that didn’t know she existed–and a man who would become the love of her life. A year has gone by and Miranda returns to Carlton Heath, the Scottish boyfriend, Ian, and the Whitcombe family. She longs to call Carlton Heath, Ian and the Whitcombes her family. But there are some obstacles to overcome.

The Merry Christmas Miranda hopes for is dashed when Ian’s father falls ill, her beloved cottage is sold, the Whitcombe family member she most wants acceptance from denies it, and secrets become public.

Miranda searches for love and acceptance that appears to be just beyond her reach. But Father Christmas’ love might pave the way for a Christmas like no other she has ever experienced. It’s a journey of faith.

I read every Christmas story I can find each season. I never tire of them, but alas, some are disappointing. This Christian romance, Engaging Father Christmas by Robin Jones Gunn is NOT. It’s charming, hopeful and embodies all that is Christmas. It is my 2008 favorite Christmas story.

Armchair Interviews says: Engaging Father Christmas is a must read and will become a yearly pleasure for those that embrace the message.
