Six months ago she lived a normal life in a small town in Georgia. Then her sister was murdered in Dublin–and everything changed.

Having left her life behind to find her sister’s murderer, MacKayla (Mac) Lane has found a world she never knew existed, and now, she is part of it. The world is in chaos and turmoil. The “walls” that separated the human world from the supernatural one has crumbled, allowing all sorts of evil immortals to emerge. Dublin has been ravaged by the Shades, the Hunters and the Unseelie, who were thought to be imprisoned for thousands of years, but escaped when the walls tumbled–and now are multiplying.

Mac has learned that she is descended from an ancient line of sidhe-seers, humans with special powers and talents who are immune to some of the Fae magic. She is not, however, immune to the power and allure of Jericho Barrons–mysterious, secretive and definitely a mouth-watering sensual male–but is he human? Evoking fear in those around him, Barrons oozes danger with his superhuman powers, but Mac has formed an uneasy alliance with him to fight against the destruction of the world while trying to find the murderer of her sister.

The object of their mutual quest is an ancient book, the _Sinsar Dubh that holds the power, the magic and the knowledge to save the world. The book is more than just paper–it has life and awareness and it knows about Mac. The book is also being sought by other immortal forces in order to take over the world for their own uses.

Author Moning has created a large assortment of great characters such as: Dani–a petulant, cocky, and brazen thirteen-year-old sidh-seer with a talent for killing; V’Lane, a Seelie prince, inhumanly beautiful, who is a “death by sex” Fae with an interest in Mac; and Darroc, Lord Master of the Unseelie army, was also the lover of Mac’s sister and maybe her killer.

Fourth in the series, Dreamfever’s cliffhanging end will have you panting for the next and final book.

Armchair Interviews says: A super 5-star read for Science Fiction/Fantasy fans.
