Queenie Bee, head of the Hive Rise Honey Company, has been kidnapped! Bad bugs are his business, and Ace Lacewing is on the case. With his pal, Sergeant Zito, the mosquito, and his gal, the beautiful butterfly Xerces Blue, he moves through the underworld of Motham City in search of the head honeybee.

Children will like the story of the bug that deals with other bugs, both good and bad, in his hunt for Princess Pollen’s sister. Kids who like bugs will love the humor and silliness of the story with its buggy references. Children and adults will love the pictures, which include glow worm street lamps and a “swat” team–all done with dark blue and black backgrounds, the film noir look that aids in the fun of the story.

The book is full of humor and fun and sure to be a hit with elementary-age children.
