For a lovely young artist in Paris, teaching in an art institute and living in a lovely hotel, this is a dream come true. However a nasty mystery has developed as the man in the next suite in her hotel is found murdered. Minola Grey finds herself entrenched in the middle of the mystery, along with her best friend Sally.

In the middle of the mystery is a celebration of Sally and her husband’s anniversary. Minola and Sally are frantically busy planning a party and “snooping,” much to the protests of Inspector Riley of Interpol. The story unfolds rather slowly in the beginning but picks up on into the book, and your interest is caught.

You are intrigued by the details of a mystery that involves high finance, money laundering and murder. Throw in a lovely bereaved wife, who just happens to have been engaged to Inspector Riley–and the setting of the mystery is intense.

There was language in this book, however there are entirely too much sexual implications and innuendos in the book for my personal taste.

Margot Justes did a wonderful job of keeping the mystery straight with a satisfactory ending to the mystery.

Armchair Interviews says: Good mystery, however, heed the reviewer’s comments if that is an issue for you.
