A: ALL information must be in the body of the your email.
We do not open attachments and we do not go to web sites.
B: Read and follow carefully to avoid your book not being considered.
C. Help us help you! Make it easy for us and our 90+ reviewers.
D. REMEMBER: A book review is just one person's opinion and may differ from other reviews.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT submit a book for review unless it is ready to be sent to the assigned reviewer. We do not want to tie up our reviewers from doing other reviews as they "wait" for your book to arrive.
In your initial e-mail query, please clearly include your book's information in this format IF you want us to respond:-- Title
-- Author
-- Genre
-- Publisher
-- Publishing date and
-- Book blurb (what is it about).
1. We do NOT guarantee your book will be reviewed.
2. The author, publisher or publicist must provide the book.
3. We do NOT contact the publishers for an individual author. Our past experience was not positive.
4. Because of the volume of books received each week, it could be up to 6 weeks before we post the review on our web site.
NOTE:
PLEASE--DO NOT not contact us about the status of your review. We review several hundred titles a month, and to provide status information to you prevents us from working with other authors. We do keep track of titles, and will notify you when the review is posted or if there is a problem, we will contact you.
5. If your release is "time sensitive," please allow for that when sending.
6. Your review will be posted on Amazon after the actual publication date (Amazon's rules), regardless when it goes on our site.
7. If your book is not available on Amazon, please let us know where the book is available.
8. If there is not a book cover shown on Amazon, advise that, too.
9. The BOOK'S REVIEWER decides on the number of stars given on Amazon. If you do not agree, please do NOT contact us about it. It is one person's opinion and we will not change the rating.
10. If after reading the book, the reviewer feels Armchair Interviews should not post it, we won't.
11. The review will reflect the positive and negative aspects (if any) of the book.
12. We do not review electronic copies supplied as PDF as it is physically difficult to for example, read 100 pages on the computer screen.
13. Include contact information (email) so we can notify you when the review is posted, or if we have any questions. If you do not include contact information, we will not be able to review the book.
14. You may post our review on your own web site and link to our site--in fact, we will appreciate it.
15. Both author and publisher may post our review on your own web site and link to our site--in fact, we will appreciate it.
NOTE: You can also go to our web site and capture our branding yellow circle logo with that comfy blue chair. Placing it by the link or review would be appreciated.
16. AND, our reviewers enjoy hearing from authors and their publishers/publicity people who appreciate our effort to promote their work. Your thank you may be featured in our monthly ezine, giving you added visibility.
How to submit:
-- Send an ARC or review copy to the reviewer we assign to review your book.
--If you send a book to our office rather than directly to a reviewer (unless we have specifically requested it), we will NOT be able to review it.
